The Grace University Men's soccer team traveled to Yankton, SD  Wednesday, August 29 to start their season with a tough opponent.  The Young Grace Soccer team had their work cut out for them playing physical, veteran NAIA school, Mount Marty College. Coach John McNeel mentioned that this was very positive game . McNeel reflecting on last year mentioned, "Compared to last year we made a great defensive stop only allowing 19 shots on the goal." Offensively Grace had five shots on the goal. In the 2nd half #12 Jay Wipf scored a goal assisted by #4 John Myer. Josh Kozak and Kirk Brown led the defense with a strong showing. Halftime score was 0-3; Grace lost their season opener 1-6.
