Royals Excited for a New Year

The Grace University Royals Men’s Soccer team began practice this week after a tough season last year. Coach Jon McNeel enters his second season as head coach of this young soccer program. McNeel exclaimed, “I am excited for a successful year, growing in our ability to compete hard as well as growing in character.” In 2007 the Men’s Soccer team experienced a rebuilding year under Coach McNeel’s leadership. This year’s team will build upon returning starters Kirk Brown, John Myer, and Paul Osborne. “Kirk Brown has really stepped up as a leader and brought a fresh vision and spirit to this team,” McNeel stated. Coach McNeel is looking forward to building the team with the leadership of the returning players as well as the new freshmen.
