OMAHA, NEBRASKA: The Royals are proud to announce the signing of Jorge Serrano-Alvarez, the son of Jorge Serrano-Molina and Monica Alvarez, who graduated from Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2016.  He plans to major in business at Grace.  Serrano-Alvarez is from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and has spent time helping coach a U12 soccer team and serving at At the Beautiful Gate.  He says he chose Grace University because it is a good university and gave him the opportunity to continue playing soccer and his education.

Serrano-Alvarez played soccer at Burke High School under Coach Nick Bratt; he plays forward and goalkeeper.  He received the 12th Man Award in 2015 and the Coach's Choice Award in 2016.  Serrano-Alvarez also received the 2008-2017 All Decade Honorable Mention.  He played in 18 senior Varsity games during the 2015-16 season and scored 7 goals and had 2 assists.

"We are excited to have Jorge as a part of the team," says Coach Locke.  "He has a solid knowledge of the game along with the quality of skill and work rate to be impactful at the collegiate level.  He brings to the team a solid Christian character and positive attitude that will assist in leading the team to their full potential, on and off the field."
