Men’s Soccer: Grace Beats Nebraska Christian College 4—1

The Royals won their match against Nebraska Christian 4-1 with goals from Mark Burkett, Ryan Meyo, and Alex Drent.

SPRINGFIELD, NEBRASKA: The Grace University men's soccer team traveled to Springfield, Nebraska, to play Nebraska Christian College on Tuesday, October 3.  The Royals secured their third win of the season with 4 goals against the Sentinels. 

The Royals came out strong against the Sentinels, although neither team scored in the first half of the game.  Grace scored for the first time three minutes into the second half when a shot from Mark Burkett found the back of the net.  The Sentinels scored thirteen minutes later to tie the score at 1, but the Royals responded three minutes later with a goal from senior Ryan MeyoAlex Drent secured the win with two more goals, one in the eighty-first minute and one in the eighty-eighth minute, bringing the final score to 4—1. 

UP NEXT: The Royals will host Manhattan Christian College on Tuesday, October 10, starting at 6 p.m.
