Volleyball: Grace Wins Against Haskell Indian Nations University

LAWRENCE, KANSAS: The Grace University women's volleyball team traveled to Lawrence, Kansas and played Haskell Indian Nations University on Friday, October 6.  The Royals won the game in 4 sets with scores of 25-18, 27-29, 25-15, and 26-24. 

The Royals started the match by winning the first set by 7 at 25-18.  Both teams fought hard in the second set, but in the end, Haskell won by 2 at 27-29.  The Royals crushed the next set 25-15.  Haskell tried to come back in the fourth set but was not able to keep up with Grace, who won the set by 2 at 26-24 with a final kill from senior Aaliyah Dunbar

The Royals had 33 kills (.06) to Haskell's 42 (-.006) and 83 digs to Haskell's 92.  Aaliyah Dunbar led the Royals in kills with 10 (.258), followed by Becca Entz with 9.  Chloe Corbett led the Royals with 31 digs, assisted by Alicia Pierce with 14 digs and Destiny Vazquez with 12 digs.  Junior Taylor Thompson had 26 assists, 8 digs, and 3 hits (.182). 

UP NEXT: The Royals will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, to play Union College at 8:15 p.m.
